Dr. Kellogg Parsons Dr. J. Kellogg Parsons is Associate Professor of Surgery at the Moores UCSD Comprehensive Cancer Center. He specializes in prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), bladder cancer, and kidney cancer. He is an expert in robotic-assisted surgery, prostate laser surgery, and cryosurgery. In 2009, Dr. Parsons was selected for Best Doctors® —an independent, peer-elected, international database representing the top 5 percent of physicians in the United States. Dr. Parsons has extensive expertise in treating prostate cancer using the da Vinci robotic system. He trained to perform nerve-sparing prostate cancer surgery with Dr. Patrick C. Walsh, one of the nation’s leading urologic surgeons, at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Arnon Krongrad, MD Dr. Krongrad received his BA in chemistry from Columbia College and his MD from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia University. He trained in general surgery at the University of Hawaii and in urology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He then received the prestigious Dornier Scholarship of the American Foundation for Urologic Disease and did basic research at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. In the 1990s Dr. Krongrad was chief of urology at the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he developed an interdisciplinary clinic for men with prostate cancer. His team published in some of the most prestigious medical journals. Dr. Robert Bibb, M.D. Robert D. Bibb, M.D. was born in Troy, New York. He did under graduate work at Clarkson University and obtained a degree in chemical engineering and was elected to the chemical engineering honorary society. He attended graduate school at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he earned a masters degree in bio-environmental engineering and was elected to the honor society. He did summer work in this field at the Brookhaven National Laboratory. He worked for several years as a senior Health Physicist at Westinghouse Nuclear Fuels. When his father developed cancer, he left to attend medical school at the University of South Carolina medical school in Charleston, S.C. He worked for the National Health Service Corps after graduation where he received the outstanding intern of the year award and an outstanding service award to the McCllelanville Community. He then finished a residency in dermatology at the Medical University of South Carolina and has been practicing dermatology for the last 27 years. He has been involved in cancer prevention work at Clemson University and has published articles in this field. He has published a book called Deadly Dairy Deception on how dairy causes prostate cancer and continues to lecture widely on cancer prevention and antioxidant therapies. Dr. Mark Stearns Dr. Mark Stearns is a tenured Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine (DUCOM), Philadelphia, PA. He is the Director of Research and Head of the Prostate Cancer Research Program at DUCOM.
